Our First Event - Gorleston Cliff Top Festival 2022.

Well we have just about recovered from our first official event as Land Designs!

We were lucky enough to have a pitch at the Gorleston Clifftop Gala last weekend, and were finally able to show off just some of our bespoke handmade items. We have had this event on our radar for a while and have been planning meticulously to make sure everything was as perfect as it could be. The Saturday morning was understandably a mixture of excitement and apprehension. It was an early start for us as we not only wanted to get a good spot, but most importantly, work out how we can get the gazebo up without any hiccups (or family arguments).

It was a relaxed Saturday morning for us initially, with a steady stream of people popping into the gazebo to have a look at some of our bespoke designs. The handmade lights in particular were causing quite a lot of interest, and the footballer lamp proving itself popular.

As the day progressed and the crowds arrived, we were soon kept very busy chatting away about our company and products - something we love to do. We shared our business cards, and pointed customers in the direction of our socials and new website. This was particularly helpful for people interested in future orders for gifts and special occasions. People are already thinking of Christmas gifts!

The raffle was a hit throughout the day, with lots of people wanting to win the whisky barrel stave bench for their gardens. I think we have enough feedback from Saturday that the bench is comfortable as well as decorative! We contacted the winner that evening and their bench was delivered shortly after the phone call.

Our products proved very popular - something we are very proud and pleased to share. Our new card machine had its first outing and we soon got to grips with the technology after completing our first sales of the day.

We have received lots of positive feedback on our items. This means the world to us. Our dream which started in my own home, is now being brought to life and shared with others.

As a first event, we feel the day could not have gone better. We cannot wait for our next event, and can’t wait to share our products with more of you.
